1. About this policy

Grime Reapers Cleaning Co. ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By using our website (grimereapers.com.au) or engaging our services, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy.

2. What information we collect

We may collect the following types of personal information:

Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and property address when you submit a quote request or contact form. • Service details: information about the cleaning service you require (property type, size, special instructions). • Photo attachments: if you choose to attach photos of the area to be cleaned to a quote request, those images are sent to us by email and are not stored on our website servers beyond delivery. • Communications: records of correspondence between you and us (email, phone, or online form submissions). • Server request data: when you visit the site, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested. This data is used for site reliability and security only.

We do not currently run any third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising scripts. We do not collect sensitive information (such as health or financial information) unless you voluntarily provide it and it is directly relevant to a service request.

3. How we collect information

We collect personal information in the following ways:

Directly from you: when you fill in our quote or contact forms, call us, or email us. • Automatically: basic technical request data (IP address, user agent, page requested) logged by our hosting provider when you visit the website.

We do not purchase or receive personal information from third parties.

4. How we use your information

We use the personal information we collect to:

• Respond to quote requests and general enquiries. • Schedule and deliver cleaning services. • Send service confirmations or follow-up communications. • Improve our website and service offerings. • Meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We will not use your information for direct marketing purposes without your consent. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing use.

5. Disclosure of information

We may share limited information with the following service providers, only to the extent needed to operate our website and respond to your enquiries:

Cloudflare (Pages & Workers): our website hosting and edge-network provider. Cloudflare automatically processes server-side request data such as IP address, user agent, and request paths to deliver the site, mitigate abuse, and maintain reliability. • Resend: our transactional email provider. When you submit the quote or contact form, your form data (and any attached photos in the case of quote requests) is transmitted through Resend solely to deliver the email to our inbox. • Google (Places API): used in read-only mode to display public Google reviews of our business on the website. We do not send any of your personal information to Google through this integration; only our own public Place ID is queried. • Sanity: our content management system, used to manage public website content (such as services, blog posts, and other marketing copy). It does not store information submitted through the quote or contact forms. • Legal authorities: where required by law, court order, or government regulation.

We do not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to any other third parties without your consent.

6. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These steps include:

• Encrypted transmission of data via HTTPS (SSL/TLS). • Secure storage of form submissions through our trusted service providers. • Limiting access to personal information to staff who need it to perform their role.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies and tracking

Our website does not currently set any first-party tracking cookies and does not run third-party analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking scripts.

Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may set short-lived security cookies (for example, to challenge suspicious traffic). These are operational in nature and not used to build a profile of you. Sanity, our content management system, may set cookies only when an administrator logs in to edit website content. These never apply to ordinary visitors.

You can disable cookies through your browser settings; the website will continue to work normally for ordinary visitors.

8. Accessing and correcting your information

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you. • Request correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.

To make a request, please contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe (generally within 30 days). We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

9. Retention of information

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. When personal information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

10. Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., Google Maps). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and recommend you review their privacy policies independently.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
